Thank you all very much. I am celebrating the 31st anniversary of my 29th birthday!
Peter, what day is your birthday?
Not as joyous of a day as I was hoping for. My girlfriend's realtor and mentor for her
getting her real estate license, and our best friend locally here,Todd, collapsed due to a heart attack
in the parking lot of the apartments where he lived Sunday night. Don't know how long it was
before he was found, but in the fall, he hit his head pretty
hard. Between the fall and the unknown
amount of time without oxygen, he was put on life support. His spouse Whitney, and sister both arrived
separately from out of state in time to see him. Doctors said he wouldn't recover so the decision was
made to pull the plug as per his wishes in his will. He passed away last night at 6:35.
Today is my 60th birthday, his 51st birthday would have been Thursday. We had planned to celebrate
all three birthdays (Whitney's birthday was May 8th) Saturday night. Now I will be helping to plan a funeral
and helping Whitney empty the apartment and move everything to Missouri where Whitney has been caring
for wheelchair bound mother in failing health since January. I volunteered to drive the U-Haul truck to MO.
I gotta be strong for them. Besides Todd wouldn't want to anyone to be sad for him. He lived a pretty amazing life.
While he lived in NYC, his day job was in IT, but at night he was a stand-up comedian and semi-pro pool player.
Funny funny guy! I have never laughed so hard so often! I already miss him.
