Just a guess Anthony:

27.  Well honestly, it looks like I effed up . . . ACTION: you’re fired, sacked, let go, get out of here.

33.  I knew that would happen and told Guido to . . . . .  .   ACTION: well, you’ll do better next time.

Yep, just a guess.  I’ve been retired from home office business for 10 (ahhhhhh) years.

I have forgotten, or gotten too lazy, to be able to write the best memo why it wasn’t my fault.

Cheers

Doug

1. They just can't admit they effed up and didn't look?!

2. If it was a hub, could that have been replaced without penalty?

“...The team believe that when Leclerc hit the barrier with the right-hand side of his car, the force of the impact was transmitted to the left-hand side hub, causing damage which was not visible to them externally.

The failure did not develop until after Leclerc left the pits on his reconnaissance lap prior to the start of the race. According to the spokesperson, the team had not previously experienced a failure of this type with the SF-21..”

Looks like I called that one correctly (even if it was just an excuse Ferrari made to cover up another problem).

“...While the team could use the same gearbox for Leclerc at the next race in Azerbaijan, his failure to start means they can fit a fresh unit without incurring a penalty.”

Another tactic that could be to their advantage.

Again, too much is being focused on this incident and not enough kudos to Carlos for 2nd place.
