Yes, and this is a major inspiration for my GT4.

After driving my Mondial now for more than a month, it’s going to be incredibly hard to go back to carbs. Like really hard.

Every time I’d take the 308 GT4 out, I’d have to fill up the tank by the time I’d get back home, no matter what. Driving around town is just a killer on mileage and at worst, I was getting single digits (like 9 MPG). Years ago when I drove down to Monterey, I really feathered it and the best I got was 16 MPG on the highway. And no, it wasn’t running overly rich, the plugs were always a nice tan to light grey. Webers just drink gas, period.

During the first week of ownership, I drove the Mondial all week, back-and-forth to work M-F and I still had half a tank left by Saturday. WTF.

It starts cleanly, it idles smooth, can handle traffic jams and scream to 7000. And it doesn’t stink up the garage when I park it for the day. 15 years difference between the two is remarkable.

Here’s another really trick set-up on a 328. Not sure if they’re still running the CIS cams, but man this sounds glorious:

I am sure everyone has seen this car before but what a great video clip!

A great 308 with an aftermarket EFI setup.
