It was a real problem with the Turkey (more so than Clyde's Rhino) because the engines were so far apart. But, so were the HUGE Vertical tails... for that reason. Center hull carried the Phoenix, so worth the trade-off.
Can't image what it was like for the SR-71 guys.
Engines much further apart, and one goes from sucking hundreds of thousands of cubic feet of air to brick wall in an instant.
And someday, some day... Erik is really going to explain an "unstart" to me. OK, I know WHAT it is, I still don't fully understand how an "unstart" happens.
