So wasn't it determined that the Formula One 312B was a boxer motor and was therefor a Flat 12

Whereas the Ferrari Boxer and Testarossa although physically flat were actually 180º V12s?? as there was a difference in the crank journals and pin arrangements between a boxer and a V12?
