I remember the car in its pre-modified state.  George and his wife drove it to a Ferrari Owners Club dinner gathering that was part of the Long Beach F1 race weekend.  At the dinner table George talked of how he was getting ready to modify the car.  As he left the hotel that evening, he was so inebriated that he ran over the curb in the portico when he came to pick up his wife.
