I have spent many many hours in the seat of 550/575 and in every practical way they are better cars, faster easier to driver, much newer, more reliable, handle better, parts supply is better, etc etc.

But subjectively, they do nothing for me when I look at them. They are nice but they do nothing for me. Only some cars, Dino, 328, and of course the 512tr make me want to just stand and look at it , over and over. With a limited driving season here due to the dark and the cold and the snow/ice and of course very different conditions then driving in the USA and the Atlanta area, I think I had to finally get the 512tr out of my system and that happened to align with Clyde wanting to sell. I, certain that financially it’s going to be rough and I don’t want to think about 5 years from now when it’s due a major but that will be for the future. For now I have very unreasonable, unpractical and by all measures poorer relation to its younger brothers. But I still love the looks.

Even my 400i, a fabulous car to drive, was not something I would stare at for hours. I liked it, appreciated it, enjoyed driving it on long trips but it was beautiful.

This is all subjective of course but you have to go with your gut. I thought for the longest time to get a 550/575 but they just didn’t move me like the older car….
To each their own…..

I agree Larry that car is an elephant in my opinion
I think the bid is high for that car
But it is what it is
I have no regrets in selling mine
I owned it for 24 years and drove it and loved it
But I did not like pulling the motor to do the service
My 575 is way better than the 512 TR
It does everything better and it’s stealthy
I absolutely hated driving my 512 and being tailgated by idiots
With the 575 by the time they see it’s a Ferrari your gone!

Unbelievable --- current bid is $215,000. (19k miles). White is UGLY. "A timing-belt service was performed in 2014." If this is representative of the current market, I really ought to seriously consider selling mine.
