After hockey, everything else is too slow to watch.
And it is more fun to play than watch, literally just finished baking a pair of new CCM skates...
Same can be said about golf and tennis.Sent from my iPhone What you guys are basically saying is that gas powered cars stimulate more of your senses. Those racecars hit visual, smell, hearing and feel. It is human to prefer that over just visual.
It is probably still a blast to drive in the E cars but not so much to watch them. It is like baseball. Way better sport to play than to watch. Formula E doesn’t do much for me either. You and I appreciate the intensity of race engines, but not the modern urbanite crowd. We had for many years the Indy race right in downtown Vancouver, which drew in plenty of revenue for the city, especially the businesses/hotels in the area of the race. But, as city hall got more progressive and with the booming development of condos in the downtown core, enough residents complained about the noise and it took zero effort to kill the event. It will be interesting to see how this pans out because, the noise will be gone but the downtown population has exploded since Indy left. Traffic was bad back then and worse now, I can’t see how blocking off streets completely (that already lost a lane because of bike routes) will go off. City hall is taking an anti-car stance, so it’s confusing why they’d allow a car-related event to happen in the first place. Peter Sent from Mail for Windows I still dig drag racing. I always move near the 60ft line for Funny Cars and Top Fuel. When that noise becomes visceral and the overwhelming smell is of burnt Nitro-Methane. To have your ears (even with plugs) over-pressure and go to static... To feel the exhaust pulses trying to change your heart rhythm by beating on your chest. To breath in the nitro and taste the horsepower... <insert Tim Taylor horsepower grunts here> It's something the green movement just doesn't get it... Formula E just does nothing for me. They’ll move on from Formula 1 to Formula E soon enough. Who wants to hear those “loud” engines and breathe in exhaust fumes? Peter Sent from Mail for Windows ...F1, like everything else has waded into the global WOKE (ces)pool and they are losing the old guard left and right, not just here, but in Europe and Asia. Yeah they are courting the woke crowd, but how many long term fans will that really bring? The SJWs will follow the next crisis. The pack mentality will tire of racing... _________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe or modify your subscription options, please visit: https://lists.ferrarilist.com/mailman/options/ferrari/tbauco%40gmail.com
