I'd submit the Ceasar's Palace parking lot GP in Vegas (81-84) was worse than Dallas....
And now it may be back in 2022...   sometimes they just let the bright lights outweigh logic.

R, I have heard about Dallas '84 and about how bad it was.

I have an awesome print of the race on my shop wall. It looked great in pastel colours!

Unfortunately, we have had some terrible races to remember here and plenty of great ones too.

Clyde, I would humbly suggest that the worst Grand Prix ever, (at least
among ones held in the US), was the 1984 Grand Prix in Dallas Texas.
miserably hot, the track was falling apart... The desire to use the Grand
Prix to celebrate the Dallas story was a massive failure.

Even though we look forward to a second U.S. race on the F1 calendar next
year, a street race in Miami, the hot gossip this weekend, even as hinted by
F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali, is that a third U.S. race is on the cards
possibly for 2023, a return to the scene of the worst Grand Prix ever held
in Las Vegas, Nevada. <removed>
