I've flown a Yak-52, which was basically the Soviet underpowered fighter trainer with a similar cockpit and feel of the controls to the MiGs.  No interest in owning either one.  60s is generous; felt more like late 40s/early 50s to me.  Functional and very easy to repair, but crude. 

I'll fly commercial and bitch about the leg space any day over owning one of those piles of crap.  

The only thing going for them is they are more reliable than a 348.
