True, a friend has four RHD cars and they are split right and left. One of them is a Nissan Figaro.

I have two LHD cars from the same manufacturer, three years apart, with fillers on different sides.

I am looking at a car next week that gas fillers on BOTH sides.

Except in the U.K. where my BMWs always had the filler on the drivers side. The righthand side.

European cars usually have gas fillers on the passenger side of the vehicle - American cars on the driver side.

If you ever get confused, just look at your gas gauge.

The fuel station pump pictogram always has an arrow point and it always points to the side of the car that the gas cap is on.

In the case of the Ferrari, since the ‘70s, they’re always on the left.

The Battle of the Rants!!!!

Anthony's post was hilarious...

To be fair to the Lambo dude, I usually forget which side the gas tank is on if I'm distracted in one of my cars. Seems like they are always the opposite to the car I just drove the day before.

No excuses on the fuel filler release though. That's basic Volkswagen 101 interior knowledge.

Well, he bought a 348.....  ;-)

But his rant did make me laugh (sincerely).  I thought it was funny they way he tried to string all the brevity codes together.  But hey, if we dish it out, we gotta take it too.

Onto the car and the price...   What was the motivation to spend that kind of coin on a 26 year old car with known valve and manifold issues and potentially gooey interior.  There is a guy in the hoity-toity development behind me that just picked up a 2014 458 with 12,000 miles for $225K out the door.   And, it was already registered in California.

Speaking of the hoity-toity community and CA registration...  I'd had been introduced this complete ASS last year who lives up there.  The gunite guy brought him by to see our recently finished pool remodel.  I ran into him last week at our (1 and only) gas station in town.  He drove up in his just delivered 2002 Murcielago (sp?  never sure about the i&e after C when it's pronounced "th").  He bought the Lambo from a gent in Wyoming for $315K and the seller paid to ship it out.   He's going to get it registered in California...  Good luck with that.  After he told me all the "cool stuff" on it and looking at the (LOUD) Fiammenghi exhaust, the French emissions sticker and the "deleted" cats... if it ever had them...  he's probably going to have to park it 2 states away or it's going to get seized once the DMV gets wind of a Grey Market car in CA.   But after he puffed up his chest and started bragging to the station attendant, I also offered that he needed to turn the car around, the gas filler was on the other side.  I went on to our (1 and only) hardware store and as I came back by, he had moved the car but was sitting on the driver's side Rocker with what looked like the owner's manual in his hand.  My guess is he was trying to figure out where the fuel filler door release was.
