Britt,
Yep, we had one in the race trailer for the late model Trans Am/GT1 car.  We'd always start out at every track with equalized pressures while on the corner scales, run a few hard laps and check all 4 tires in 3 spots with a tire pyrometer and adjust pressures from there for track balance.   It was a great tool for starting equalized.  They easily take one round of tire checks off each practice session at a new (to us) or resurfaced track.   Later, when the digital pressure setters came out, they were less important.

Speaking of interesting garage items,
Many years ago I bought an air line for filling the car tyres from a pump. It’s a long double ended hose with a t junction and an air gauge. You attach it to both rear tires or front tires at the same time and this ensures you get exactly the same pressure in both tires since using the T junction you have equal pressure to both tires at the same time. I still have it. Never seen it for sale again and don’t know what it is called. Anyone else have one of these?

I already have it one of these but I thought one of you might be interested. It actually sticks in the windows so you can show when you’re open or closed but I don’t have a window in my garage so I’m saving it like all my other stuff for when I die my wife sells it for $.25 or throws it away at a garage sale!
