Similar to the 288 GTO quick kick turbo “problem”?

There once was an F1 driver who was given, bought, stole, a 288 GTO when they first came out.

Sold it and commented: sort of : Too fast – too expensive.  Imagine – an F1 driver saying “too fast – too expensive.”

After reading that I stopped looking for one.  (ah ah ah)

And then there was the NorCal mechanic who took his customer’s 288 for a road toast, uh, test . . . . turbos cut in on a turn and off the road, down a hill sideways, through a chain link fence and was saved when the car, now 180 degrees from the road exit, passenger side clobbers a tree.

Other than that – it was nice looking.

Cheers

Doug
