Thank you Rick – with less than 20 minutes to go today – I try to learn something new everyday (which, ah ah, gets easier each day I get older – I just forgot I knew it before) ahem, your grandma’s “new rope” saying is new to me.  Therefore, I’ll make a note, store it in my short term memory, and use it the next time I’m with a bunch of neighbors, car guys, or on Terri for the next two or three weeks.  She must love my sayings.  She says they’re to die for . . . um, that’s what “I am gonna kill you if you say that again” means? Right?

I was talking to a Navy buddy this evening, it was his birthday.  His son followed in his footsteps, flew fighters, now flies for UPS.  The Son is very involved in the Yachting lifestyle (especially since his father-in-law passed and left them a lot of money and houses on 3 continents).   Apparently the whatever Yacht group mailing list he is a part of was getting annoyed by several of their members droning on and on about their FERRARIS...   the gall...

 

As my Grandma used to say:  Some people would scream if you hung them with a NEW rope.
