I think at this point, you don’t need to ask for his permission to give back something that he took – stole – from someone else. You gotta go and lean on this guy...

Good fit. Obviously no way to know for certain.

He talked a big game, said when he was involved with SCCA school, he denied Michael Andretti his license on first try. Drove mostly lower class FP and EP SCCA stuff, including a Spitfire and, wait for it, a heavily modified Chevy Chevette. Claims to briefly had a factory ride in a Camaro.

Said he was going to visit family in Florida and bring back to Oregon stuff in storage. Took my Cannonball book and an aluminum intake manifold that he was going to do some machine work on. Left towing a smallish flatbed car hauler.

His assistant told me a day or two later that "I don't think Ron is coming back. He cleaned out his desk and took all personal belongings.".

I think he's up to $300K to get the guys who stole his Dad's $30K skidsteer 10 years ago.

The guy's name is Ron Alcorns.  He was my body shop manager.  Some
decades ago, he drove various sports race cars mostly at Daytona.
Book disappeared from my possession about 2004-ish.
