I'm not sure what would cause one to need to replace a valve spring, but having taken my car quite a bit apart before, it's pretty trivial if you need to do that. One of my first RROC events was a tour and as I walked the parking lot, an elderly man was working on his Silver Ghost. He had the car running with the valve cover off and he was adjusting tappet clearance. On my cross-country drive from Virginia to California and back in 2011, I did quite a few things on my trip to include changing out the Pertronix ignition module on one of the distributors, swapping out a fuel pump, rebuilding the carbeurator, replacing the brushes on the dynamo (generator), and quite a few other things. I came prepared with lots of spares, and had a team of folks on standby to overnight me parts when needed. I drove that car 8,800 miles on that 3 week trip. -matt '39 P-III '85 euro 308 On Wed, Feb 9, 2022 at 4:39 PM Buxton Motorsports, Inc.
