Keep in mind Doug, my car is a 308 GT4. I guess because of the longer wheelbase, it spins slower (at least that was my perception when it was happening to me).

That was when the car had Pirelli P4000s. Really nice tire but as soon as the pavement got damp.... Whoa. The Vredesteins (Sprint Classics) that are on the car now have been the best yet.

Agreed with the XWX hockey puck statement, but really, wouldn’t any 25+ year old tire do that? I’d really like to know how they are when they are fresh. I will need a fresh set of tires regardless.

Picture this – 1995, just got the 308 GTS, I’m at a big parking lot on a Sunday as Terri needed to drop by work for few a minutes.  Hmmmm, what to do?  Ahhh – sure – let’s see how THIS baby handles.  Varoooom and the first right hand turn, on 14” XWX hocky pucks and I am backwards – zap.  Now from an old auto crosser/time trialer hot shoe . . . that was a surprise.  Decided to wait for the smoke to clear, park and wait, and hide.  Never did it again.  Wonder how a 308 GTS handles if it’s set up and, uh, with a good driver?

Heh heh

Doug

(308gt4’s, I’m told, handle better)

Rick, c’mon. There’s stupid Porsche drivers, Bugatti drivers and Honda drivers... I see the traffic reports every day, there are cars on their roofs all of the time.
