Then once again, you really are in the wrong place... and out of line.
If it's true (I have no reason to doubt it), six kills in one day is a monumental accomplishment. To my knowledge, it's only been done twice before by US pilots - Alex Vraciu, June 19, 1944. Alex was a US Navy pilot protecting the aircraft carrier Lexington from the Japanese and David McCampbell, also Navy, scored 9 in one day at the Battle of Leyte Gulf.
There were 5 German Aces in WWII who had 15 or more in one day, Emil Lang shot down 18 Russians in one day in 1943 but like so many German aces he was lost a year later. During WWII the Luftwaffe pilots flew an agonizing number of missions, few survived. For perspective, the highest scoring US pilot of WWII was Dick Bong with 40. His counterpart in the Luftwaffe was Erich Hartmann with 352. I have no love lost on the Nazis but I certainly have respect for the individual pilot's accomplishments in the face of almost certain death and under a grueling pace.
My only comment on "The Ghost" is that I hope he goes on to live a long life... Sadly, very few top Aces do. Six kills in one day makes him a top Ace and worthy of any pilot's respect from any country in any time period. That he did it in a Russian plane, with Russian training has got to sting a bit... in Russia. Honestly, I don't know who's side to take in this conflict. They both seem wrong... as is our diplomacy.
Before you go getting your "feelings" wound up... by kills, we use that to refer to the plane, not it's pilot.

If anyone remembers a month or so ago I had mentioned that of any car I would like to convert into electric power, it would be a Bentley. Well, looks like I’m not the only one who thought of that (and stepped up the game using a Rolls Phantom):
globalnews.ca - richmond man converts rolls royce
Maybe too late considering Rolls is planning on “rolling” out it’s all electric New Dawn next year...
