Your missing my point and you know it

You go 
To Italy for great Italian food

The same with France for great French cuisine 

The same with Spain and Greece 

That’s not the case for the UK

There is no such thing that I am aware of as English cuisine 

And if there is I have never flown anyone across the pond stating they were going there for that experience 

You can talk your way around it all day long

But you know I am correct 

Why go to another country to eat cuisine from another country?

Yeah Anthony, if all you want is local Italian food and I am not decrying that as I love it as I also love going to Spain and eating their food in different regions. Less so France these days I am sad to say., and I speak from a lot of experience. Believe you me I am a real foodiie and base my trips about what I can eat.

But my point is that in London you have an enormous range of food from  all over the  world and whatever Clyde might like to think, if you want some real food experience London is the place to go. Research what food you want to eat then find it. It's quite easy. But sure no, not like going to the nearest trattoria on the corner and automatically getting great local food.

BTW my current favourite local restaurant near where I live in UK is Turkish. Absolutely fabulous food. But then  again  in my village we have a splendid home made traditional British pie shop, plus 3 Indian, one Thai and one Italian restaurant which are all good. Plus we have a few pub restaurants within 5 miles serving mainly  British but some fusion food which would more than satisfy most culinary experts.

I doubt Clyde would turn his nose up at any of them
