Quite a ride to get to $320k…

The market has spoken.

CRAZY !!

Now, mileage questions aside - and the car does look low (if not <10K) mileage and super clean.

I think cLyDe would agree that the 1989 328 represents a certain pinnacle in Ferrari development.

By ’89 that power plant / transmission had been in use / development for decades.  About as bullet proof as a Ferrari powertrain can get.

There is great love for the 3x8 shape - and it has aged well.

Everything you can see in the pictures shows a clean, well sorted car.

On the down side - black/black??  Far from the top choice and black lacquer is a nightmare.

Then there is the mileage.  34 years / 9000 miles - not even close to where I’d want it to be.  But, when I get mine, it will be driven.

At this point, cLyDe and I probably agree that - unless you leave it in the barn or trailer, it is a ticking time bomb.

For the trailer queen / investment owner - I‘d say it was a safe buy up to $200K-ish.  At over $300 - the buyer must be hopeful that the market will continue to rise.

I think that is a poor bet.  Ferraris as a whole were in a bit of a free fall since the last price explosion, until the entire car market went crazy.  This too will end, and not everyone will get a chair.
