That’s because Pininfarina was dropped as their designer. The accountants made that call. The V-12 will also be on the chopping block too.

 

But like Erick pointed out, this is what the (rich) people of today want. I only wish the station wagon would’ve carried on to be the de facto family-hauler. They more than served the purpose of moving kids and their related stuff around.

Design has not been strong lately, in my opinion.  As for SUVs in general?  Meh, I don't care either way.  If it keeps the brand strong, so be it.  I say go with a V12.  It will allow Shaq to drive something that sounds better than a V6 turbo.

I like it even less the more times I see it ... it's a lifted FF, which is also a very unattractive model.
