Waterway - ahem, canal -next to the track is inaccessible except low profile boats. There are a couple of low bridges that would stop most boat traffic.
That being said the fake marina, pool deck, and beach (which were $2000+) looked mostly empty.
I would have loved to have gone but there were no tickets under $500. They need a “hill” where the unwashed masses can bring their beach chairs.
I thought the race was pretty good overall and expect that they will improve things by next year. Always expect teething issues on a project of this magnitude.
From what I heard access was not bad at all just long walks from some of the parking areas
Maybe next year.
