Having been running, parked and restarted... considering the layout of the motor (exhaust valves down), I'd say valve seals. But if it's only a startup issue and otherwise runs well, I'd leave it for an engine out job.
Does he see any smoke on hard (not spirited, HARD) acceleration?

Hi guys,
This is NOT my car ( Clyde’s ex car) . Had a question today from one of the very few other owners of a 512tr here in Sweden. He got his car in October last year so is new to it. He said he drove it today for about an hour, parked it for 20 minutes and upon start up had “ a puff of blue smoke” which was unusual enough he was concerned. Said car was driving normally, and when he gave it the beans on the motorway afterwards he couldn’t see anything.
So to the Ferrari list I ask, based on this limited description, anything to worry about? Normal for an old car not driven to much for the past 8 months? ( but started every two weeks) for 30 minutes. Could a little hot oil leak down into the cylinders after a spirited run but not mean anything is wrong?
Just your thoughts?

Britt in Stockholm
