Jesus guys, it’s not that bad. There have been worse cars that have been brought back to life.

 

Roof would not be a biggie to bring back to original. My coworker did the roof on his ‘50s Ford F-100 himself in his home garage. The body shop did the rest. You can’t tell it was there. And that has some serious curvature. The GT4’s roof is nearly flat. Just sheet it and finish the edges. Not any worse than what Bertone did in their factory! Lots of “Milano Mud” at the panel joints.

 

This would be a great DIY project for a guy with a well-equipped shop. It’s not at death’s door and it isn’t worthy to be broken up for parts. It can go back on the road.

That sunroof will be a bitch to put back to stock, but at the right price it seems u usually solid for a non restored car. I would go under the assumption it needs a full mechanical rebuild or as Clyde said, a parts car. Someone slapped belts and pulleys on it and claims it needs tuning? Big red flag
