Finally got the 308 back, after 9 months of hibernation, drove it for an hour, all is well.
My mechanic was finally able to get that bearing (outer bearing in engine cover) out without taking the engine out, without taking the engine cover out, just broke the bearing and put a new one in. Here is an old picture of the bearing with the engine cover on  and the broken bearing.
He also fix the headlights problem, they would not stay on unless I held the black arm steady. He took it apart and saw the arm was cracked inside the column switch. Epoxy did the job.
I changed the 8-year old battery for a new one.

I’m ready for Mont-Tremblant.
