Porsche was on the brink of ceasing to exist as a car company not that long ago F1 is expensive
The price of participating in F1 goes into the overpricing of Ferraris No thanks
Porsche also got fed up with the constant rule changes to thwart them in F1
Porsche is not about F1 racing They make production cars that are nearly identical to what are entered in competition
Clarence it’s apparent from your uninformed comments that you haven’t been around a modern Carrara in a while That rear engine design has been perfected over 60 years and Porsche has been making mid engine cars again since 1996
Porsche holds several lap times on the Ring In fact five of the top ten times are held by Porsches (Wikipedia) and sorry not one Ferrari in that top ten You are an exception in the miles you put on your car and calling Porsche people possers well you just don’t get it A base $100,000 Six cylinder 911 at 0-60 in 4 seconds would embarrass your 12 cylinder 575M Your TR is 4.8 to 62 mph Don’t take on a lowly Porsche Cayman GT4 RS 0-60 in 3.2 I don’t know who you are stomping I haven’t even gotten to the 911 Turbos Turbo S or GT2s and GT3s yet Sounds like your car can beat up my car syndrome Ferrari inferiority
complex?

Clyde to get it accurate the reason that there is not now nor most likely ever be a Porsche engine on the F-1 grid is they are too F-ing greedy and have just too damn much of that Kraut attitude. Sure they are good in other series of racing and yes they do build a good power plant.....trannys not so much
Perfect example this last hype and excitement with Porsche coming into F-1 as an engine supplier was these past months with Red Bull who is successfully carrying on with the Honda 1.5 liter V-6. With Porsche breaking off of VAG this next years and Audi coming in to supply the Alfa Team's power unit both hot and MGU regen side. Porsche walked the walk and talked the talk with Christian Horner and Red Bull saying that they would supply the engine and of course would get 50% of the Red Bull team. That is a 500 million dollar team that the crazy Nazi's just assumed with all their greatness should be gifted half the team. As Red Bull said to Fritz and his Storm Troupers how'd that work for your garndfather's when they decide to Blitz-Creek toward Moscow in the late fall ??? Red Bull their native German lite variation and Christian's Brit accent said go F- yourself and your legion in your own mind attitude.
I doubt in our lifetime to see Porsche in F-1.
BTW we or more like I know better, Cosworth goes back in as an F-1 engine supplier is the day I retire, buy my own small island, leave my flip phone at the airport in Austin and do not accept visitors. Kent... Kent who...... never heard of him

Wow
Pat
In my opinion why buy a car with a known handling issue called
Trailing throttle oversteer
And yes that is your beloved Porsche
I’ve stomped so many of those cars on the road I don’t even bother to hunt them anymore!
Porsche people are basically possers!
And there’s no P car on the F-1 Grid!
As for driving Ferrari’s
Yep your correct
The majority of owners drive less than
3 k per year
But not me
I put over 100k on my 84 308 GTB QV when I sold it in 97
I put over 100k on the 93 512 TR when it sold last July
And currently I have 59k on my 2003 575M of which I put 23 k on it since I have owned it
With car ownership if you’re going to drop
6 figures on car
You should not see yourself coming and going
You do with a Porsche!

Okay you guys and Kent You started this
Oh please. Do you really want me to stereotype some Ferrari owners?
I just saw the discussion about the Ferrari flashlight
Well I own a Porsche It's a car. I drive it, it's not treated like a piece of parked garage art to look at while it pisses oil
Unlike you elitist Ferrari guys who look down on Porsche owners
we don't look down on you because we are car enthusiasts who like
to drive our cars and many of us track them..
We like all cars and put more miles on our Porsches in a year than most Ferrari owners will ever
put on in the lifetime of owning their precious Ferrari. We also drive them to work and in the rain and even in the snow.
I knew a guy in north Lake Tahoe who had a Carrera 4S (AWD) used it as his daily driver even in the snow
There are so many Porsches, bound to be a few pricks inside some.
I have nothing against Ferraris but I would never own one. Jay Leno won't own one either.
He does own Porsches some very nice ones.
Too expensive to acquire, too expensive to maintain and too expensive to leave parked in a garage most of the time
Additionally, I don't want to feel like I have to kiss Ferrari's ass for allowing me the privilege of owning one of their cars
and paying ridiculous amounts of money to replace parts and service them
Then there is the racing history of Porsche vs Ferrari
The Ferraris were beautiful but they broke and couldn't cross the finish line against those German Pwagons that were built
like tanks to win races.

Porky's got the complete 100% dead Italian cow textured leather James Bond 007 Owners Manual Binder / folder, with the two loops in the center. Those loops are for the official Ferrari flashlight that is available for the very reasonable $1,000 or for the more practical NDBFE for carrying at the ready for your next Ferrari owners Sunday afternoon gala at the local country club greens who is opening it's doors to the public for that one day event.
So now you may ask what is a NDBFE I am shocked with your not knowing after owning many of these "fine Italian crafted automobiles" all these years and putting countless tens of thousands of miles on each and every one. You clearly must have a full Mr. T Gold Chain kit, the skin tight fine Italian leather red jump suit where the zipper only functions to mid belly height, a pair of the $1,800 sunglasses, and $2,200 Air Italian go fast running shoes. You mean to tell me you do not have a NDBFE, what the hell kind of Ferrari owner are you ? You should be ashamed of yourself a good looking older Afro-American guy from Harlem who had excelled in not just one distinguished career but two full life careers !!!
You really need a Needle Dick the Bug F@@k Extension for your 575 M Ferrari Owners manual binder, please allow me to locate one for you, it should be here with ample time before your arrival here in G-Town to transform your 575 into a Porky clone. If not, no worries I have a buck 2.89 Harbor Freight Chinese knock off skinny pen style flashlight and can of red spray paint.
Now that your Sunday quest has been solved carry on enjoying your weekend !!!!
