You’re and old aviator when your aircraft is on a stick somewhere!

So I went to the dedication of my old fighter at my air national guard unit

Yesterday, that’s when I drove my 575 and did a shake down on its issues.

The aircraft is one I actually flew and I like the way they mounted it

Because we actually flew it that low!

The officer I am standing with in the other picture was my back seater when we flew airframe 421 to the Bone yard( that where the military stores old airplanes

That plane 421 was the the last RF-4C to fly!

 

It could do Mach 1.1 in military with 3 external fuel tanks and a ECM pod irregardless of OAT ! The only jet faster on the deck was an F-111. The fastest single engine fighter was the F-105.
