Agreed, awesome story Matt!

I remember when you brought the Phantom up to one of our race viewings years ago.

Everyone’s jaw hit the ground…

That's cool. I have a pre-war Rolls-Royce, and somehow I got enough in the good graces of one of the top two pre-war RR/Bentley mechanics on the east coast that he allowed me to work with him on my own car. For me at the time (sadly he's now passed away), I had a couple one-week long dream vacations working on my own car pretty much as his "apprentice." He'd loosely tell me what to do, I'd have my car on his lift and use his tools and I'd do it, and he'd work on the other car in the shop until I got stuck and he'd unstick me. Of course that was only for a week and the car was in there for weeks at a time so he got a good payday, but my payday was learning from the expert and doing something I really enjoyed and didn't have the space or tools or expertise to do on my own at home.

Did he find the battery for the alarm module?
If not, let me know I have some connections there...

Nor have you seen such results.
Or received such an education.
Doesn't matter who they are or how much money they have, "they" couldn't buy what you got this last week...  for "free".
Yeah, you bought plenty of parts, but the grasshopper studied at the hands of the master.
I'm hoping you enjoyed every minute of it.

The car is complete
We are doing shake down runs now and so far no issues whatsoever
The additional horsepower is about 125 rear wheel
So I am looking at 575 give or take
I was getting 18 mpg on the road in stock trim
I will be doing 1100 miles on the way home and will check mileage to see if there is a difference
The big thing no heat under the hood car runs cooler across the board
And the engine breathes much better,it’s almost electric.
If you’re not careful you will hit the rev limiter!
When in 6 th gear steady throttle an down shift to 4 th then back up to 6 th
The nose of the car jumps, I shit you not!
To be honest I am now afraid to use full throttle, it’s brutal acceleration!
I can break it loose in 3rd gear no problem
Hope you enjoyed the pictures
This was not an easy endeavor at all, taking off the stock exhaust manifolds was prison work!
I have never worked so hard on a car, ever!
