Ferrari has yet to build the perfect car.  Even Enzo knew that when he said the next one is the best one.  They're still working their way up that ladder.  

Waiting to see how the market responds when they realize that a CF tub has a shelf life and is intended to be a replacement item.  Newer is not always better.

And I agree with Brian, the Boxster (and to the same extent the Cayman) is a neutered hair dresser's car that will never be properly developed as it would compete with the 911 and fix the problem with the engine location and make the balance better.  Wonder if Target is going to ask to start selling them in a variety of colors?

Purely from a mechanical point of view it’s a horrible car to work on

It makes working on a TR ( which is a bitch to work on) look like a Lego set!

LdM got one as his "company car" on day one as President of Ferrari.

When we talked to him at Concorso Italiano, he said he drove it home that night and took it back in the morning and told everyone the same thing he said here... "We have to do better".  He never drove it again.

One of the locals in the Pantera club with me, Johnny Mac, bought a 348 hardtop and up until I saw that car, I never understood how "No More Sticky" was in business.  It was quite clear the moment I sat down in the car.   Don't get me wrong, I know a lot of other cars suffer from decomposing plastic, but that was the worst I'd ever seen... err, uh... felt.
