To me Alonso is still the most talented driver on the grid, as he is one of the few who can take a mediocre car and get the most points with it. Hamilton has had incredible success with incredible equipment and was outperformed by Russel last year. 

Alonso and Vettel went to Ferrari to finish their careers in red and will another title or more and failed spectacularly, and I don’t see this happening differently.

Not a big fan of LH either but not a hater either. I suspect that most of us are turned off by the gigantic egos of F1 drivers but it takes a huge ego to make it to being one of the top 22 drivers in the world and stay there. 

Remember how many Ferrari fans hated Alonso?  Until he went to Ferrari.

On the subject of e-mails
I do not get many from the list though at times I see responses embedded within an e-mail under a common subject title.
Such as the recent ‘296’ thread where Doug shows up. I have not seen a ‘Doug’ in months but do enjoy all his (Doug, if u get this) posts.
And ScottS who always has a story to tell, and PatS.
cLyDe seems to come and go lately, so all seems lost.
RobG is traveling the world as rock star so we may never hear from him again (not really, a true devotee to the marque).
Every now and then I post; I think of things to say but never get around to putting them in ‘writing’.
SO, who is out there and what am I missing?
Everyone who is still there, even if u never post, just say ‘hi, I’m here”
