Plane is from 1972 but the engine is newer and the entire thing is inspected regularly.  And he only flies in VFR conditions, if that is the right way to say it.

Best to my knowledge, they have never flown to Vegas.  Drive, yes.  What is AGL and ASL?

Well – Mt. Whitney is a bit off the chart – and looking at a chart, the highest mountains in the Santa Barbara area are less than 1,250’

Nevertheless – a good pilot KNOWS the difference between AGL and ASL or maybe better said (I defer to the real pilots) MSL.

Anyway – whose to say sonny boy doesn’t suggest to your son - - - - “HEY Viva Las Vegas . . . les’ go . . . “ and Sonny boy better know the difference.

Depends where he’s flying . . . . If they are flying around Mt. Whitney . . .  ask him to define AGL and ASL.

My kid keeps going up with a friend in the friend's Cessna 150.  The guy is young and healthy and instrument rated.  I don't like it.  How concerned should I be?
