One of the guys we used to race with inherited one from his ex-wife 2 years ago. (long story, not here, they hadn't spoken in 32 years).  When her attorney called to tell him she had passed he also notified him that she had left him some property.  When he found out it was a mobile home park he thought "oh, great... he last dig.  Leave me a $35K mobile home with $45K in back taxes".  To his surprise it was beach front property north of San Diego and it was valued at $1.4M.   He gave it to his daughter who was going to school at UCSD and she was eventually able to borrow against it to fund Med School.
