1950s ‘big-banger’ Ferraris, previously sold by Girardo & Co.

 

It’s always satisfying to see the cars we rehome being enjoyed by their news owners and shared with the world. That’s why last weekend’s International Concours of Elegance – The I.C.E. - in St. Moritz was so special, seeing both the fantastic ‘big-banger’ 1950s Ferraris we sold last year, the 375 MM Spider and the 340 America Touring Barchetta, in action out on the frozen lake.

For the new owner of the 375 MM, the event took on even greater significance for it essentially doubled as a post-restoration delivery handover. Chassis number 0360 AM has not been seen driven in public for almost 15 years and thanks to the huge effort and painstaking work of Pastorelli Classic Cars in Maranello, the car was a firm crowd favourite throughout the weekend. A frozen lake, studded tyres and 4.5 glorious litres of Lampredi-engineered power. That’s one helluva recipe!
