I've often wondered the causation trajectory of the "blue haired freak"...

Is the mental illness the sine qua non for blue hair?

Or does the Blue Hair dye leaching around the blood/brain barrier initiate the mental illness?

The big question is:   Could we write a proper grant application to get rich by studying this behavior...

The American public are a bunch of Crack addicts.  I can't believe how much of the covid stimulus spending has stuck around.  Once people get a taste, they don't want it to go away.  They scream like an addict going through withdrawal at the very mention of spending cuts.  And don't get me started on forgiving $200k in student loans for every blue haired freak that graduated from a liberal arts college with a useless degree but now they are a teaching assistant in a pre-k classroom.  Yeah, they are really "serving the public" by putting up rainbow flags next to the bin of Duplo blocks.  We got a great deal there!
