Ferrari Mailing List: Battery is now charged..... no sparks at all, no smell of gas either.

I finally got my battery fully charged. Remember my problem last friday ?
I turned the key this morning and just heard “wam wam wam….” No sparks at all. 
No smell of gas either.  In 23 years of starting my Ferrari after a long winter 
it ALWAYS started after the first or second turn of key without giving it any 
gas at all.
For half an hour I tried, I gave it gas every now and then. Nothing, just the 
sound of the engine turning. I gave up after half an hour

Only thing I can guess by instinct is the fuel pump is not working. The gas 
tank is about 7/8 full. What else?
I called my mechanic, lucky for me he has the exact same 308. I’ll have the 
Ferrari towed to his garage tomorrow.

I’ll let you know what the verdict is.
Ah well! If it’s not one thing, it’s another with a 44 years old car.
