Michel:
Just one point of reference but - I had the same issue yesterday on my 87 328. However for me I had it on the charger and it showed full green. Got in, turned key, all lights lit up, put my foot on the brake - and everything went completely dead. Took the
key out and turned it to position 2 - all lights went on, radio worked, all HVAC fans worked, put foot on brake - everything goes dead. Checked battery voltage - 13.6V. Bizarre. Tried again - this time tried windows, everything goes dead. Same when trying
headlights (but not parking lights or antenna).
Brought battery to Autozone to test - failed cranking test - bad battery. Battery was 6+ years old.
So even though the battery was showing fully charged and holding 13.6v, just wasn't enough I guess.
