And precisely why I have little interest in anything new.
That and being a hermit on a mountain side helps cleanse the psyche of any "look at me" tendencies.
Though... I am looking for a "new-ish" CAT D3/D4. No Wow factor, lots of fun and I can't get far enough away to be late for lunch. Only comes in Highway Yellow.

The overall market is also moving in a different direction. It’s becoming software defined and hardware enabled.
Ferrari historically has not been able to get the best gear and for those that have looked under the hood at their programming, well, let’s just say it leaves a lot to be desired.
Disposable consumer goods, budget accordingly.

I don’t think anyone debates the wow factor of these cars… when they are working. It’s when they quit working that the ethos goes sour. When Ferrari can’t (won’t ?) fix them. When they linger in shops for months. When they are still somewhat drivable and go back to the shop repeatedly. When a car that should be under warranty gets a 5 figure repair bill. When a world class engineer hooks up with a boy genius code slinger to take a look at maybe fixing a broke one and after a deep dive start brandishing silver crucifixes when they speak of them…. That’s when the shine tarnishes.
I leave out the ones that burned… any car could burn. But I haven’t heard any of these rolling again. This isn’t like an F-40 or F-50 that gets RUDed and rises again.

Ironic, because dynamically these cars are amazing.
Hybrids still have a way to go it seems but triste vectoring and instant torque in a flat plane crank high revving motor is something else.

The SF-90 is enjoying the same fate as the 296-sinking value
You might as well keep it because no one wants them and if you trade it in like my friend did to get a F-8
You will take a huge hit
I told him not to buy the SF-90 but hey it’s his money
He thought the SF-90 was going to be the new F-40!
But remember there is always a GHETTO close by for you to park in !

It’s amazing to drive I’m told.
My buddy has every new car out there from the GT3/4RS, to SF90, 812 Comp Aperta, purosangue, Lamborghini Huracan performante, Revuelto, and to him his 296 is maybe best handling of all. He talked it up like the 488/F8 just can’t measure up. He has a 296 GTS Speciale on order as well.
He lives in a way that maybe doesn’t stress these cars as much as others, or he’s less affected than most would be.
It’s a mixed bag, but the idea it’s just a shit car is narrow minded.

Can anybody explain to me why the 296 is such a bad car ? At least according to a few listers. People who have tested it say I’d a great car. But then again they don’t live with the car for more than a day or so.
