As I recall, the front suspension on the 300 is from the E-Class and the rear set up is from the S-class....or something like that. Problem is, around here anyway is that EVERYBODY drives a 300. Can hardly stand to look at them anymore. Snow tires on the 996 would be a good thing, however as unpredictable as the Boston winters are, that may be leaving too much to chance... what about the Toyo ES350? That motor is pretty sweet. I drove an IS350 and it is a little rocket. The paddle shift is a total joke, but the motor (306hp) is pretty sweet. Current model M3....plenty of room for kids, can put a couple golf bags in back, tons of HP and Torque... FWIW, YMMV.
