Hopefully the Poertners will join back in. I don't think there were any offenses - just the natural order of busy people whose schedules are difficult to mesh.

Ian still has his beloved 308. For a while there they had also bought a 328 (in lovely prugna color), but sold it to cover some repairs on the 308 when it needed TLC. Claudia also sold her Maserati, I believe due to some irritations with the cambiocorsa system, and is now in a BMW.

We have been attending the USGP at Indy with them for a number of years and would love to see any other listers who are able to go next year.

Charles Perry would know as he stays in touch with them. I had heard that Claud got a Maserati. She has a damaged back, via a bad car accident, and that car was the only sports car that did not put her in pain. A few years ago, they bought a 308 with a number of modifications done to it - but perhaps Ian has moved on to a 328.

Somewhere along the way I think I offended Claudia; perhaps when we were going to the US F1 GP together. I started working the event in the pits and, having just less than ZERO free time, the socializing diminished to zero. Perhaps that's what caused the rift. Either way, I am saddened that we haven't kept in touch. I still have a beautiful drawing of my 308GTB, done by by Ian, hanging on my den wall.

It would be nice to find them here. Charles, can you invite them to rejoin - assuming they are not already here?

PS: Oh okay, duh. As I was about to hit the 'send' button I noticed Ian and Claud's addresses on the Cc line. If the addresses are current; Ian, Claud, please drop me a line. Nancy and I have moved to Houston, Tegan's married and Allen's studying atomic and nuclear physics at New Mexico Tech - Steve Cook's a.m..

As far as I know Ian and Claudia are still in St. Louis, although I have
not talked to them in a while. I believe Ian is driving a 328 everyday
and Claudia had a Maserati.

I remember Ian and Claudia, Robert Rehkopf, Charles Perry and
Ric Rainbolt. Who was that guy from the Los Alamos Lab? Can't remember his
name.

That would be me! Joe Martz, still around.

Currently enjoying a 456M. I just did a review for Ferrarichat, I'll forward it to here shortly...

Glad to hear from old friends,
