Hello Everyone. Thank you for your feedback and kind advice on my F355 questions earlier this week. My local Ferrari dealer delivered my F355 in an enclosed trailer this afternoon so it is back home now. The mystery leak turned out to be a loose clamp on a hose in the coolant system which could only be accessed by pulling the under body covers off - they pressure tested the system and made sure everything was tight. If you shine a flashlight at an angle on the speedometer you will notice a pin sticking out at around the 10mph mark - this is where the speedometer's needle rests when the car is stopped, which explains why it never goes down to zero. I never noticed that before but after looking at mine and several other Ferraris at my dealer, I noticed they all have that pin. I wonder if there was some reason behind that . . . why not put that pin at the 0mph mark. All four shocks were inspected and none were leaking any oil. I did a suspension test the other day by driving over several rail road crossings at various speeds - no difference in ride that I could tell, but then again I didn't go too fast so as not to damage the wheel rims. I guess I will need a LOT of drive time behind the wheel before I can tell the difference between the sport and normal settings. My dealer said it is working as designed, but I am still not convinced. No errors came up when they connected the engine diagnostic machine to my car. I am a bit surprised at the F355's suspension and steering. The suspension feels softer and the steering has too much power assist in my opinion, as compared to my previous driver, Porsche 911 (996) Turbo. However the V8 engine + Tubi exhaust note make up for the difference! What are recommendations for places to buy driving suits, helmets, and other such gear? Next stop is a track . . . Best regards, Naweed. '99 F355 Berlinetta
