I wouldn't be in too much a hurry to purchase a new window motor. There are
many things other than the motor that it could be.  I would open it up first
and take a look see first.  There are lot's of threads on fixing the windows
on the 3x8 series, you should search them and review first.  But it could be
the wiring, switch, cabling.  The window may also have jumped off the felt
tracks.

Also the cable and gearbox are notorious for getting gummed up inside which
can really slow the mechanism down, or get stuck.

Hi all,    
    The passenger side window of my 1986 328 GTS is stuck in the down
position. Has anyone replaced the window motor, and can lead me through it?
Is there a generic part that fits? or is ferrari specific, if so, where is
the best source.
