For me, The List is a hell of a lot easier and cheaper than visiting a
'shrink' once a week. It's much better for my liver too. -- Ferrari Bubba

Dennis, I recently rejoined this list after a few years away. I found it
refreshing, friendly and kinda like the List we had about a decade ago. We
actually discussed our cars. At that time, we were all somewhat new to the
breed and most of us couldn't just go out and buy a 355 F1 or whatever. We
struggled with the same old issues of crappy A/C and cold 2nd gear woes. We
discussed oil filters and sources for parts not unique to the marque. We had
to
guard our money for we had precious little of it. We saved and saved then met
in Italy where we forged some life-long friendships. We were almost family.
I hoped to regain a little of that feeling when I rejoined the List a
month
or so ago. At first, it seemed that we actually were a group of friends again.
I invited Ric Rainbolt, Peter Henrys and Rui Gigante, as well as others, to
rejoin and enjoy our passion for the Italian marque. A few familiar names and
faces surfaced and all seemed pretty nice ...but life is not like that.
Life is dominated by the few, the brave, the noisy. It is dominated by
people who enjoy introducing chaos then watching others flail. That is EXACTLY
what 'reality TV' is about. Watching other people suffer. There's always a
few
who enjoy the unhappiness of others. And they certainly don't care who is
unhappy.
I guess what I am saying is that I feel that I must apologize to my
friends
whom I invited to rejoin this forum. Albeit in naive honesty, I mislead them.
For that, I am sorry. I am vividly and unhappily reminded why I left this list
a few years ago ...and I now must leave it again - not that anyone would care.
The Ferrari list I remember, the Ferrari List I enjoyed, does not exist.
Goodbye.
