I like the simple and crude (i.e. rather fixable) nature of the 70's-80's
cars. Some electronics, but not enough to require a laptop. I'm firmly in
the camp of seeing that modern cars are designed to be more and more
disposable and you're going to have a tough time in 20-30 years out to get
replacement ECU's for cars like the 360/430. Every time I see the screen in
the dash of a modern Ferrari, all I can think of is the Aston Lagonda...

Besides, my shitbox Mondial is still fast enough to keep up with modern
traffic...

Do you feel the same about the earlier cars? I was perfectly happy with
my
328GTS reliability and pretty much any issues were related to the age of
the
car
and the components and not the design. The 328 and the countachs were same
era right? OR- am I a bit blinded by the 328 being a classic car so I
excuse
problems in it that I wouldn't in a 355? I sort of think of the 328 as
being
one
of the most reliable ferraris ever but have also been happy with the 400i
which is much older and has done a substantial number of miles as
well.....
So...was the 328 a 90% car? How about the 348? Curious on everyone's
opinion
on
that.....

Britt,

After having 2 328's over the past 5 years, I now own a 355. Just wanted
to
go on the record saying I've had zero problems with the car after 8 months
and
5000 miles (both headers were replaced before I got the car).

The only glitch has be the slow down light (for overheating cats)
that has
come on twice at startup. It's a faulty ECU that will eventually have to
be
replaced...
