Re: why to fill the Ferrari at 7-11

Race pedigrees are a dime a dozen. Corvettes have
been damn near undefeated in ALMS and LeMans
in recent years - and the recent A-M wins were only
as a result of severe weight and intake air restrictions
on the C6.R

However, the point is that Ferraris are the *GOLD
STANDARD* in sports cars, even with their many
flaws. Period. Lambo guys keep whining and
producing stats to convince otherwise, but simply
check out the inventory of new cars at any Lambo
and Ferrari dealership. Or used ones for that matter.
The Lambo guys seem somehow insecure about their
purchase, trying to convince everybody within earshot
that they made the right decision. The Ferrari guys
(yes, even those of us with shitbox early V8 cars...)
simply smile smugly. Hehe.

Point: A couple of friends were driving thru and stopped
for a visit. When they checked into the local sleeze-bag,
(there are no nice hotels around here....) the friend with
an early Testarossa was told to park his car in front of
the motel door. The guy with the new PBug GT3 was
pointed to the parking lot in the back. BWAH HA HA...

Steve,
I am really surprised to read this from you, being an auto enthusiast.
Porsche has as or more of a history of winning *major* races as Ferrari,
and many models are well known for their handling, braking and speed.
Not to mention their dead reliability. While a Boxster may not be very
impressive to own in Seattle, I wouldn't imagine you would be
embarrassed seen driving an 89 Porsche Speedster, a 94 3.6 turbo or any
of the turbos since (1997, 2005 or 997 AWD twin-turbo). And I would bet
that a Carrera GT would give anything that anyone on this list owns a
*very* good run for the money in every performance category.
