Thanks for the clarification. Actually - I haven't thought too hard about the changes to the safety car rules yet - though there was a lot of adverse comment a couple of races ago when lapped drivers impeded front runners on the restart behind the safety car.

caution occurs, the first lapped car is elevated to the lead lap
again. As it applies to Formula One, in 2007 the first car not on the

I hate it, it introduces a form of lottery to racing. Call me
'curmudgeon' but I prefer pur sang racing; racing as a sport and not
a form of 'entertainment'.
