I agree on the gt4 which has better access the compressor has to be lifted
out the top, dont drop it it is heavy. I had to double nut all the studs to
get it off also, I thought this was the hardest part of my major, by a long
shot!

If you are trying to remove the A/C compressor, belts come off through the
wheel well, mostly everything else from on top.

It is a lot easier if you remove the engine lid though ...

    This weekend I choose to repair, or at least diagnose, the problem
with
my 308GTB's A/C.  I can handle all of the electrical bits and I can handle
the thermo-dynamics of air conditioning.  What I wish to ask is; Is the
A/C
compressor, wiring and plumbing easier to access from the engine bay
opening
or up through the right-hand-side wheelwell with the liner
removed?  Please
remember that this is a GTB.  Your advice is appreciated.
