Not everyone has the time or knowledge to do the research and maybe it is
just a little bit cool that the factory that built the car (and maybe some
people
who actually worked on the car when it was on the line) have looked at it
again and said "yep, thats right, thats wrong and heres how you can fix it".
Plus
if it drives the parts production a bit faster thats good to....(have you
seen the costs of simple ferrari lens for older models since they aren't made
anymore? For a 400i the two front turn lens cost 1000.00 dollars from the
aftermarket since marenello hasn't got any..)

A member of my FOC gang asked a senior person at Ferrari GB how the 16
dealers in the UK made their money; "Was it from new cars". Tha answer was
definitely not so you have to ask where are they getting their revenue from.
New cars
sales might cover the overheads but you need service work (and a lot of it
because warrenty with ferrari doesn't pay as well as you might think)

So.... you have to do lots of service and sell used cars but here in the UK
there are a TON of good independents that offer used cars and good service so
the competition is stiff. Thus you have to have other products to sell....like
merchandise....and Classiche maybe....
