You're going to store the trailer and boat on the lift? Wow. That
would make me very nervous and the boat and trailer together are *very*
tail heavy. The arms of any auto lift won't reach far enough back to
keep it steady. Detailed a 1999 Baja 231 Islander last week and I could
lift the entire front of the trailer off the ground and move it left and
right. If you want to store your boat I would just take it somewhere
that specializes in that, or buy forks for your lift built specifically
for boats. My opinion is that you will be asking for trouble!

Anyone have experience with a 4 poster to store a boat? We are planning to lift our boat into the vaulted garage ceiling for storage, thus giving room to park 2 more cars(making room for more Ferraris :) ) perpendicular underneath. The boat is a 23footer, with approximately 20ft between the jackstand and real dual wheel axel. Thus, we would need a fairly long lift, with full drip pan.
Any thoughts?
