Difficulty in starting when hot is a common problem with 308s as well.
Just went through it with mine. I bought a fuel pressure gauge to troubleshoot
it...turns out
the cold injector was active during a hot start, flooding the engine due to
faulty thermo-time switch.
Other causes for poor warm start include the check valve in the fuel pump or
the accumulator not holding pressure.

Also common problem easily cured with refreshing the gear grease.

Also a common problem cured with changing to the right gear oil.

Off Topic ... we still haven't made it to Portugal but still hoping.
You may remember we sat across from you and your gf at the
restaurant across from the factory in 1999.
Glad to see you realizing your dream.
