  As to hot start, I would suggest that because you have to open the throttle 
to start, you may not have a fuel pressure problem with the accumulator.  If 
internal pressure loss was the case, the engine would have to crank while 
pressure builds and then it would start.  Holding the throttle open would 
impede this.  
  Check and see if you get a puff of smoke when this hot start problem occurs.  
It may be that the injectors are weeping and the engine is slightly flooded 
thereby causing a need for some throttle opening to start.  
  I have had pretty good success cleaning injectors.  I simply remove them, Put 
the straw from a can of aerosol carb cleaner in the inlet and blast them.  Then 
while the carb cleaner is inside the injector, I blast it out with compressed 
air.  Gruesome, probably dangerous, but effective.
